Before starting small group training at Synergy… working out felt like a chore. But Synergy taught me that you can have a tough workout and burn fat while having fun! Each time I went in, I’d learn a new workout and the trainers would help me perfect my form and make sure I was doing it correctly, which I loved. The best part about Synergy was how they tracked my progress by having an “assessment week”. The assessment week really made me feel like I was making a difference in my body and my overall health. On top of all that, everyone that works there is so friendly and good at what they do. It was great coming in a few times a week and always seeing their smiling faces and chatting with them! They genuinely care about their clients and want you to become the best version of yourself.

LACKED MOTIVATION

I have never been athletic but always wanted to be someone who enjoyed working out. However, after gaining weight in college this want became a need to begin a healthier lifestyle. I had a gym membership at the time but lacked motivation to go more than a few times. I did some research and found Synergy. This was the best decision I made for my fitness journey! The environment is welcoming unlike gyms I had gone to in the past. The trainers are encouraging and helpful, and the small group training is great because you can get help from a trainer and work out with other people which motivates you. I never thought I’d be someone who could say I look forward to going to the gym, but I can honestly say I enjoy the workouts at Synergy. So far I have lost 14lbs and feel better and healthier than I ever have. I’m so glad I chose to join Synergy and look forward to continuing my fitness journey here!

A COMFORTABLE ATMOSPHERE

I signed up for small group training in January and did the new client special, and got a membership after I went to all my intro sessions. I love working out here! All the trainers are great, greet every client by name, and create an atmosphere you feel very comfortable in. The workouts are hard, but not overwhelming. I have lost 6% of my body fat, and I feel so much stronger. The online scheduling is also very easy. I would recommend Synergy to anyone!

I cannot say enough good things about Synergy! I started small group training at Synergy in January 2019 and as of May 2019, I am down 40 pounds! Synergy feels more like a family than a gym – between the trainers and the other members you are constantly supported. Sean, Emilia, and Linnea are phenomenal! They carefully guide you through each workout offering suggestions on how to make the workout more effective and will even modify any exercise to suit your needs. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE

I am one of those people that has no idea what to do at the gym. But when I noticed a few extra pounds on my body I knew I had to do something, so I joined small group training at Synergy. One of the best decisions I ever made. In just 16 sessions I lost 8 pounds and lowered my body fat percentage by 6%. I did modify my portions and also chose healthier foods. The workouts are intense but in a good way. There’s no pressure and no shaming from the trainers. They work you hard enough to make a difference and work with you to modify if you can’t do a particular exercise. All the trainers have their own style and the variety makes for exciting sessions and no 2 sessions are ever alike. I can already do exercises that I wasn’t able to in the beginning. I’m very happy with my choice to join this group and will continue on my weight loss and fitness journey with them.

NEEDED TO GET BACK ON TRACK

I joined small group training at Synergy in February of 2017 with the goal to lose weight, get toned and reduce body fat.

I had always been active and exercised on a regular basis but I was developing some bad habits and beginning to sabotage my health by not eating properly, not exercising like I used to and just getting more and more down on myself. I was blaming it on everything else going on around me and coming up with an excuse, after excuse as to why but I finally came to terms that I was the one to blame for my downward spiral! I really needed to get back on track, be consistent, get motivated again and be accountable for my health and well-being.

I started looking into fitness centers in and around Waltham, although, I am not a gym person, never have been. Driving by Synergy almost every day, it still didn’t click that this was going to be the perfect fit for me until I begrudgingly decided to come in and met with Jackie (A DOLL!) She promoted Synergy, the 5 to 1 training (AMAZING TRAINERS!) and the possible results that I was looking for. Two years later (off and on, off and on) – I’m down 16 lbs., lowered my body fat by 8.5% and reduced inches around my waist! I couldn’t be happier with myself, the results and the entire Synergy team (past and present!) I did it!

AT FIRST, I WAS AFRAID

I joined small group training at Synergy on the recommendation of a friend and because I desperately needed help becoming active again. At first, I was afraid that I would not be able to do the exercises but Sean, the trainer, and other members have been incredibly encouraging. Sean makes modifications for me when necessary so I can complete the routine. I also found the information on nutrition on the website very instructive. Through the classes and nutritional tips, I have lost almost 15 pounds in less than two months and decreased my body fat by 8%. I feel stronger and healthier and am glad I joined Synergy.

LOVE IT EVERY TIME I GO

I’ve been doing small group training at Synergy 2x a week for 3 years, and I still LOVE it every time I go in. Great trainers, wonderful, supportive atmosphere, and yes, results! Down 18.5 lbs, lowered Body fat by 9%, decreased BMI by 3%, decreased waist circumference by 4.5 in, and so much stronger and more toned – all without dieting. Would give them 10 stars if I could.

INCREDIBLY SUPPORTIVE

I came to Synergy at the age of 54, NEVER having exercised regularly in my life. As a kid, I was weak and uncoordinated, and was always picked last for every team in gym class. Over the years, I grew more discouraged about everything my body couldn’t do. To me, exercise was painful, frustrating, and humiliating. I knew I was never going to change my habits by myself, but I was afraid to join a gym. I pictured gyms as places where young, toned, beautiful people showed off their bodies and bench pressed 200 pounds! I’m grateful every day that I decided to try the small group training. The people who go to Synergy are all different ages and ability levels. The trainers tailor the routines so that they are right for each individual. I have found that the other clients are incredibly supportive as well. We cheer each other on, and even get a little friendly competition going sometimes. The most amazing thing to me is that I have stuck to it for over two years. I feel stronger, have fewer aches and pains that come with the aging process, and generally feel more confident about my ability to take on challenges.

GET STUNNING RESULTS

I am a big fan of Synergy! Having recently moved to the area I was looking for a gym that was affordable and friendly, that catered to “real” people of all ages, that was small enough to make a community feel, and with personal trainers to maximize results. SYNERGY is ALL of those things and then some! The 60-minute whole-body workouts led by terrific trainers are awesome, fun, and get stunning results. I have been to many gyms in my life, big and small, including one-on-one training…Synergy tops them all…by far. Small group training led by trainers who are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging while also being demanding is a brilliant system. Their online scheduling is efficient, flexible and easy to use. I lost 9.7 lbs in 20 workouts…down to 122 lbs. and lowered my body fat % by 7%! Who says losing weight after 60 is a mission impossible? I feel great, have increased energy, strength and flexibility. I love this place!

CHANGED MY LIFE

The small group training at Synergy has seriously changed my life. I have never loved to work out and have always had trouble staying consistent with working out. I signed up for a promotion at Synergy and instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the workouts. I was really self conscious and really out of shape. We are all there for the same purpose and I have never felt embarrassed or out of place. There is such a wide variety of people also. I got my mom and my best friend to sign up and they love it too! The trainers are amazing and really take the time to get to know you and how far to push you during workouts. The workouts can be tough but the motivation from the trainers and other members will keep you going. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life!! I’ve lost 14.1 pounds and 5% body fat since I’ve been going to Synergy. I could barely do 4 push-ups on my knees when I started. I am now doing REGULAR push-ups and even started RUNNING (I have never ran a day in my life). I can’t say enough positive things about Synergy. Give it a shot and I promise you’ll be happy you did!!

I originally joined small group training at Synergy to workout with two friends. I have to be honest, I was not for this because I was not comfortable in a “real” gym setting. I find gyms to be very intimidating.

Fast forward to present day, I have lost 18.5 lbs and I am down 7.2% body fat. The staff at Synergy truly care that you get great results. They are patient while you learn the exercises, they are right by your side cheering you on and showing you the correct way to do the exercises to ensure that you don’t injure yourself and are quick to offer-modifications if needed to help you get the most out of your workout and to help you get closer to your personal goal. You leave there tired, but with satisfaction that you just had a great workout and know great results are coming. For me, having the trainers right by my side to keep me motivated and make me push myself is exactly what I needed. I had been going to another gym for 2 years without any results. Making the switch was the best decision. I like the size of Synergy. I have actually gone alone a few times, which I would never have done at my old gym. I love that you sign up for a time slot that works best for your schedule. Having to sign up for a time slot also makes me more accountable and less likely to allow myself to decide at the last minute not to go just because I don’t feel like it. I know when I get there that I won’t have to wait for machines or deal with a crowd of people and the time passes quickly. If you’re looking for results, a place that makes you feel like you are apart of a team and helps you learn how to become healthier and stronger, then you’ve found the place!! “Healthier, Stronger and Happier”

THE WHOLE TEAM IS SUPPORTIVE AND FUN

Working with the Synergy team has worked for me for so many reasons. The small group training allows me to have a flexible schedule for workouts. The workouts are full body and include a number of exercises that before Synergy I would not have tried or believed I would be able to do. My goals can be as simple as just showing up for the class to more challenging like building up to my first 3 miles race in years. The workout is done in an hour and then I can get back to my busy life of managing kids and work. So far I have lost 16 lbs and have lowered my body fat by 7.5% The whole team is supportive and fun so it is never a chore to show up.

I’ve only been doing small group training at Synergy for two and a half months, but already I’ve lost 16 lbs, lowered my body fat by 8.5%, gained strength, and been motivated to make changes to my eating habits. I NEEDED AN EXTRA PUSH

After trying to lose weight on my own over the past few years I came to the conclusion that I needed an extra push as I wasn’t getting the results on my own. I had concerns about joining small group training at Synergy due to several limitations (ankle injury and back pain). My first session was with Sean and he was able to easily modify the routine to accommodate my needs. I quickly learned that all the trainers have extensive knowledge in health and fitness and they safely pushed me further than I ever would on my own. I have never been a fan of the gym but Synergy actually makes me WANT to go and work out. So far I have lost 6 lbs, lowered my body fat by 6%, and lost 3 inches around my waist! They even got me to do my first 5K this year. Thanks to Linnea and the Synergy staff…and let me tell you running was never something I enjoyed! LEANER AND FITTER

I have always been a person who likes to eat and eat a lot, especially the junk. I started realizing how out of shape I was. I had tried to exercise on my own also joined a few big public gyms but I couldn’t keep the zeal to continue.

Then came the time, when I finally realized that I needed to do something about my weight issues, more particularly I wanted to feel better for my own sake (to feel good/confident in my clothes). I joined Synergy’s group training option, my goal was to get leaner and fitter. When I started working out initially, I always felt tired and low on energy. But gradually with each passing session, I became stronger more energetic and even more determined to achieve my goal. I have currently shed 5.1% body fat and 7 lbs. and I have more strength, endurance and stamina. My goal is still far away but Synergy has got me going again.

BEST WORKOUT EXPERIENCE EVER

Small group training at Synergy has been the best work out experience I have ever had! My first session I could be barely do 4 pushups. In 18 sessions I have lost 8.5 pounds, 2.6% body fat, and can do 30 pushups no problem! It has been the only work out program I have stuck with and I actually look forward to the sessions. The personal trainers are absolutely amazing. They take the time to get to know you and they learn what your body can and cannot handle. They are personable, funny, and motivating.
