Feel younger, Feel fit, Lose inches, Lose weight, Feel your happiest

My wife and I are both physicians and in our late 60’s. We recently moved to Boston from another State. We had always belonged to some Gym or the other and always signed up with a personal trainer ( the last two were ex-Marines). However, we still had a lot of extra weight on ourselves. I had a large gut, and our Lab results showed that, among other levels, my Hemogobin A1c was pretty high – 6.9.( thats almost pre-diabetic!) We often felt tired, lethargic, crabby, and without energy. My waist size was 36 !

We looked at various Gyms in the Boston area and joined Synergypft in Waltham in early May 2015. Your one hour interval training system has proven very successful with both my wife and myself! We went back to our friends the ex-Marine trainers and even they were impressed with how we looked. We told them your routine and how successful it is! My waist size is now 32! Down 4 inches in 6 months. My weight is lower and my clothes are all loose on me. Best of all, my Hb A1C is 6.5 – all my Physician colleagues are impressed. ( I have also been watching my diet )

My wife has had similar results. Our family and friends comment on how much healthier we look and how much trimmer. We both feel younger, more energetic, we feel happier and fit. We have lost inches and weight, and it is all thanks to Synergypft and the wonderful team you have there.

Jim, Sean, Cynthia, Jackie and Brad are the best! You all push us to do our best , you are all friendly and the atmosphere in the room is always a very nice one.

Body Felt Less Bloated

Dear Syn trainers,

Just wanted to thank all of you for your support and encouragement on my journey to better fitness and nutrition. I am surprised but very excited that I won the 6 week nutrition challenge. Yay!! The challenge has taught me to make smarter choices- more fresh veggies/fruit/salads with protein, more water, less processed snacks, less alcohol. Who knew a delicious margarita would have so many calories? (Sorry, but football season has commenced so it’s back to beers on Sunday haha)

Thank you Jimmy for all your nutrition advice- the meetings were a wealth of knowledge and kept me motivated. My body felt less bloated and by eating smaller meals with snacks throughout the day, I felt more energy. The hardest part of the challenge for me was limiting my dining out as I look forward to not having to cook and going out for a fun meal. I did however make better choices and limited my bread to one piece with some butter (yes butter, I’m still eating out and want to enjoy it) and chose not to eat the whole bread basket. Moderation is key!

Improved nutrition led to improved workouts… So thanks again Syn team! You’re awesome and please keep the challenges coming!

Synergy is such a great gym! The trainers know what they are doing and are really invested in helping each individual reach their personal fitness goals. At gyms I’ve gone to in the past, I’d always been a little shy when it came to lifting weights. I didn’t know if I was doing it right and was intimated by how much others could lift and how little I could. At Synergy, the trainers teach you the proper way to lift and are so encouraging that it doesn’t matter if you can lift 5lbs or 100lbs – you are there to improve yourself and that’s what matters! I started coming to Synergy last November thinking I would just try it out for 6 months, but now I’m coming up on a year and I don’t see an end for me here. It’s the perfect gym for someone who wants to get in shape, feel good, and continue living a healthy lifestyle all while in a supportive environment. Thank you Synergy!!!

I can’t thank the Synergy team enough for helping me make my fitness goals a reality. I signed up for the 8-week Jump Start as a way to get back in shape slowly and safely following brain surgery. Since starting training in late July I have dropped 30 pounds and lowered my body fat by 7.7%. I’ve lost 6″ from my waist, and I went from being able to hold a wall sit for 1:20 to holding it for over 10 minutes! The progress I’m seeing in training has inspired me to eat more mindfully and to be active even on my off days. I love the enthusiasm and support of the Synergy staff and fellow clients. I’m hoping to reach my goal of 65 pounds lost by the end of the year…it feels so good to be halfway there already!

I am attaching some pictures of our daughter Nina, who was born on Sunday July 26th. My water broke on Saturday July 25th at 7 am, exactly 24 hours after my last training class on July 24th. =)

I also wanted to thank Sean for keeping me as fit as possible during my pregnancy, and for adjusting workouts for the past 9 months to keep Nina and I safe! =) My labor was way easier and faster than my first one, likely due to me working out until Nina was born. The first week after labor was pretty rough, but by the end of the second week, I am almost fully recovered. I should be returning to the gym in 1-2 weeks, once I get the ok from my doctor. I hope to regain my fitness soon!
